I've been married to a teacher since 1998 and during this time my career has gone from builder to real estate agent; both of which serve the public in different ways. I know my career and days are very different from my wife and I commend her for what she does. We have twin daughters in school so I'm exposed to even more of the educational system, specifically how teachers interact with parents.
